Awnings: Poleless 270 Wing Awnings and the 300

The Toyota 300 series Rear door is 1 piece (no Tailgate) and lifts past horizontal, making installation of awnings a little tricky. Racks need to be mounted further forward than on the 100 and 200 due to the rear aerial (Which is actually great for vehicle balance) , Awning rub on rear door is likely for the majority of pole less awnings... We like the 'ostrich wing 270' as its just a bloody good awning for the money - and its last arm is on the high side of the hinge (Most are on the lower end of the hinge) which minimises the rub and  fouling on the open rear door of the 300.

Rooftop tents: what's the best rooftop tent for the 300?

Bundutec Bundutop:

For ultimate touring performance and comfort in poor weather the Bundutop offers 4-way airflow, ease of use (set up and pack up at push of a button) privacy, skirt protection from moisture on walls.

The Bundutop scores a 50 out of 50 in the key ingredients of a long-term touring tent's most important attributes. Its straight-lift design gives it unrivalled performance with regards to airflow. It is solid in strong wind, fast to set up, handles snow, heat and rain well and is probably impossible to beat for the longer term / poor weather tourer. More on the Bundutop here

Tuff Trek Mk3:

A beautifully made and well designed load-bearing clamshell tent with excellent anti - wind/flapping design, The Tuff Trek Mk3 Might be our pick for the 300 series (and all wagons) providing that extra load space for dirty gear, chairs and firewood ontop. Its low profile fit making it probably the best looking set up too.

Boss Aluminium RT1:

Aussie manufacturing at its finest. Huge space, load carrying capacity whilst also running solar.  The Innerspring mattress provides comfort and excellent airflow and respectable wind/rain performance.

The Boss Tent Competes closely with Camp King and Alucab designs, However its been further refined and improved with considerable weight savings and additional insulation as well as perhaps the best canvas work we've ever seen.  More on the Boss here
