Toyota 200 Series Roof Rack
Tough Touring makes a Super Low mount, outward folded roof rack for the Land Cruiser 200 Series - and Specifically to suit fitment of Roof top tents and Pole less wing awnings.
Our custom designed rails and Aluminium Top hat crossbars form a super strong, low foundation for your chosen roof top tent and Awning Combination. Capable of handling typical Hardshell Tent loads on Off road environments - The Tough Touring Racks are so low they help reduce wind noise while getting the weight of the touring gear lower also helps reduce body roll and improve vehicle stability.
The LC 200 Once Piece Rack we supply is shorter at the rear, allowing pole less wing awnings to swing through their arc and be set up with minimal fouling on the rear doors Wind fairing.
We would reccommend running Pole Less wing awnings fixed to your chosen roof top tent on the Landcruiser LC 200 - however later updates to this rack does allow

Advice on Loads and Load Limits...
Common questions.
Dynamic Roof load limits on the LC200 are advised to be 200Kgs... Static Load is not stated however it could be as high as double the Dynamic if considered consitent with other toyota models in years past.
This rack comes with satisfaction gurarantee by Tough Touring for Offroad use with Roof top tents /awning combinations to the Toyota Engineers reccommended load of 200kgs.
Tough Touring will warrant the rack against damage while it is used for its purpose in offroad conditions..The Warranty is not related to single Item Point loads... The rack is designed to carry RTT. Point loading one plank for example with a 200kg Concrete BLock will bend the plank - (And that is not what the rack is designed for).
Damage to the rack occasioned by impact damage with Trees, rocks, or washouts cannot be covered by warranties. In the event of accident damage - Tough Touring racks are designed for easy repair and replacments of damaged components during use. All Parts are manufactured locally and bolt off and on... (Easy). 4wding environments can cause damage. We know. We bust our trucks all the time :)
Static Loads on the rack (While vehicle is not moving) is warranted to 400kgs. (Tent and 2 or 3 persons inside).
Use your commonsense and drive safely with loads on the roof.

We offer 1400,1470 and 1550mm lengths of Top hat roof planks / slats to got with this kit, If yoru mounting a roof top tent and awning, you need to pick roof stats that meet minimum mounting spec widths of the tent - We'd Reccomend you fit the awning directly to the e tent for installations on the LC200 for a stiff/foul free and decent looking install... See our 'Awning to Tent" Brackets page here for more details - https://www.toughtouring.com.au/tent-to-awning-brackets. We offer Roof Rack slats to Suit the LC 200 in 1400mm, (This is the Minimum Width as the front of the LC200 is quite wide) and a wider width - 1550mm for customers running Bundutop KING Tents.
Technical / Fitting
Fitting:
Tough Touring roof rails can be fitted by any roof rack fitter, or yourself if your handy. Included is a tube of Sikkaflex 221 Automotive sealant and new High tensile steel mounting bolts. Adding the rail planks is easier on the back - as the unique design of the TT roof rails allows all bolts to be accessed from beside the vehicle.
Adaptability:The Roof racks have been designed by us to to accomomodate awnings and roof top tents specifically without fouling on Vehicle wind fairings etc on most popular awning brands available toda
Our Vehicle Specific 'One Piece ' roof rail Kits for the vehicles above follow the vehicles roof lines perfectly while positioning the rack precisely around foul points / Protruding wind fairings - they have been tested with most of the awning and tent combinations listed and are the closest possible fit we can achieve.
Listed on the Store page are extra Top hat bar planks to add to your roof rail while the tent is removed - You would typically require at least 4 slats to create a functioning roof rack. (The Front and Rear Tough Touring Slats remain on the rails as the tent is lifted off, two slats would go up and off still fixed to the tent, So purchase an additional 2 slats - Bolt them on while the tent is off, and fitted you would then have 4 slats back on the car for a functioning rack - (and no need to remove the awning...Which stays fitted to the front and rear tough touring slats.) You could add up to 10 in total....
