Awning to Arb Base Roof Rack Brackets
Designed to handle immense twist forces - this is our most ridgid bracket system, recently updated to suit fit up to the new profile 2022 ARB Base Racks...You can Either Bolt these brackets up to the rack using the ARB Bridging Plate Bracket kit if desired (Available at all ARB STORES - You will need 4 packs at $60 Each) or they can be fitted by Drilling and through bolting directly through the top planks of your Base rack) - (Simple/Strongest/cheapest).
The Brackets come in Mid or UP mount orientation - Mid Mount sits beside the rack offering the lowest mount position possible. (just 120mm above the rack) while the UP mount Varient sits ontop of the rack and adds 180mm)
PLEASE NOTE LC200 VEHICLES CAN ONLY USE THE UP MOUNT VERSION TO AVOID THE OPENED AWNING FOULING ON WIND FAIRING ON REAR DOOR
Please advise if your rack is longer than the desired awning, As you will need an alternate front bracket. (Troopie and 110 Defenders take note). Please stipulate in the Product options below what vehicle, rack type and awning you wish to mount. If you can't explain all fully , please email a picture of your set up to us at 0477 002 932 so that we can help.
There are many variants to the Base Rack platforms, As yet we have not tested the Tradesman Type for Suitability - We are advised that the 'Trade' Sides can be removed, in which case please check yours and if they can then you can certainly run this bracket set also.
INSTALLATION TIPS:
For the stiffest fit up possible, The Through bolt Installation Method shown in Pics above is preferred, However ARB does sell 'SPAN SPACER' Kits for $60 a set that can be used to facilitate a 'BOLT UP' Fitment (No drilling required) - You will need 4 of these kits if your going to install them this way.
The Pictures above show examples of Both the Spaning Spacer kits method of installation as well as the bolt through installation.
The Bottom Bracing plate is included with our kit as shown in the pic above.
Full Size Pole less wing awnings require at least 1750mm Span distance (Front to back) between your Awning brackets.
If you have more length than this - To get the best coverage over your opening rear doors (Stop rain getting in) position our rear bracket about 80mm in from the end of your rack - this is where the racks main east west support is on the base rack also . The Brackets are immensely strong - Positioning them slightly over the rear plank when using the Bridging plates from ARB adds plenty of anti twist strength...
If your Fitting a Pole Less awning to a Landcruiser 200 series - You will need to fit the awning brackets 80-100mm back from the rear edge of the rack to prevent the awnings last arm fouling on the rear door spoiler when the back door is open.
